A trade unionist’s son who grew up on a council estate, Geoff Norcott is wondering how he ended up leaning to the right. A motley South London upbringing may be the root of his more provocative views in this critically acclaimed and ‘satirically incisive’ (Scotsman) stand up show, hitting the road in 2017. He made his big TV breakthrough earlier this year, as a regular correspondent on BBC 2's The Mash Report. Writing credits include C4’s Alternative Election & The Sarah Millican Television Show, 8 out of 10 Cats, The Now Show.
"Norcott is an absolute tonic." **** The Telegraph
"Master of anecdotal story-telling." **** Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
"Genuine iconoclast…more importantly he makes it funny." Chortle
Daisy Earl is one of the fastest rising stars in Scottish comedy today and is attracting plaudits and accolades at an alarming rate. Having won Best New Comedian' at the Scottish Variety Awards 2015, she was then crowned Scottish Comedian of The Year' in the same year, making her the first ever female winner. She then followed this up with a sell-out show at the Adelaide Fringe and returned to the UK to scoop the Best Newcomer' prize at the Chortle Awards 2016.
“Impressive…an appealing vulnerability but awakening steeliness.” The Scotsman
"A rare cunning, equal parts deprecation and defiant attitude. Hilarious” Chortle
Ben Pope is a stand up and actor. He was a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny in 2015 and was president of The Cambridge Footlights and has toured extensively with them, including in the USA in 2014.
“Perfectly silly and intelligent in equal measure.” Broadway Baby *****
“Smart and artfully ramshackle.” The List ****
BEN VAN DER VELDE
Standing a statutesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of Kilburn.
“Sharp and crafty gagsmith.” Chortle
“Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue.” Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
Lauren’s been doing stand-up for 3 years and is one of the brightest young talents on the comedy scene. She came runner up at the Funny Women Awards 2014 and this year was the only female comedian to reach the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Awards. Earlier this year she supported Katherine Ryan on several tour dates and opened for Stewart Francis. A regular on the North-East circuit, this baby faced comic is one to watch out for.
